I hear snake in the house and immediately think “ protect the babies!” I’m not scared of animals outside, just in my safe space. Steve is a good friend. And he likes projects. I like his energy.

Just a little advice from an old man from Mississippi farmed in my younger years.Always put water in the hole you dig for your plants and then put your plants in.Jay from Mississippi.
  • I like Steve. What a great guy. Gets right in there to help and wants to learn new things. He has great energy and really seems to care about you. Not sure what the delio is, but he's a keeper. He's also super cute, cute, cute.

I am totally HERE for the Steve and Hannah content 😂 y’all are great to watch together!

Wow, the drone shots really emphasized how large of a property you really have (& therefore how much work it is to maintain it!). I would be overwhelmed if I had to maintain such a large property all on my own. You are doing an amazing job! Thanks for sharing! 🥰

High grass = A LOT OF SNAKES!!! The will invade your house. Mow the grass. 😂😂😂😂😂

The joy on Steve's face when he learns to sew, Hannah heartbroken that the mice didn't make it, it's been a rollercoaster video and I loved it as always!
  • My little Iowa homestead had same paths through the beautiful tall blue grass, each season new flowers would take hold, a new fragrance would drift through on my path to the bee hive...Queen Anne's lace, milkweed, day lilies and mullein, then came the quail, turkeys and others to fulfill my ecosystem...your vision is a thing of beauty Hannah...now retired to Florida, my tiny world is still a plot of paths around banana trees and pineapple...and bees n butterflies and no mow paradise...keep up the great work nature girl, the Universe thanks you...!!!

I had to hand raise three baby bunnies years ago when their nest was roto-tilled. One of the staff I was working with lived on a conservation authority, and he got a formula for feeding them which worked great. Plain milk doesn't have enough "kick" to keep them alive. You take 1 cup whole milk, one tsp. plain yoghurt with active culture in it, and one egg yolk. The yoghurt keeps their digestion working well, and the yolk adds protein and body to the mix. Serve warm like baby formula. I used an epoxy syringe and they started on 1cc, eventually going up to several cc's before they weaned on clover. One of them died of a bladder infection after it was weaned, but the other two were successfully released. One peculiarity of feeding wild bunnies is they'll only take food while they're actually in the nest - try to pick them up, and they think you're going to kill them and they'll just cry. Mice may be similar to this scenario - give it a shot next time.Edited to add: Crap! I just went to pick up a piece of fluff, and it was a live baby mouse! Looked big enough, but was probably dying of thirst. Outside now. Live traps will be out for all the brothers and sisters!

A couple years ago I found some newly born bunnies that were very sickly. Mama had abandoned them cuz they were born really late into summer so I took them in. I kept them for a week and they were doing so well before they suddenly passed. I feel your pain in losing them. I’m glad you’ve gotten to experience the magic of holding such a tiny, fragile creature though ❤️

I love you Hannah, you have the biggest heart. Steve is awesome and I’m so glad to see him again. Any person that helps you, keeps the process fun and makes a great breakfast out of very little is a wonderful friend. I really like him and I hope we keep seeing him.
