  • If you were impacted by Hurricane Debby how is your area? Did you experience any intense rain bands or flooding? We hope you all stay safe, if you have any other areas you'd like to see after the storm, let us know in the comments.

As a local, please stay off the roads until the floods are down every time you drive in the water water comes into everyone’s homes more 😢

Ghanks for this. My area in Sarasota is not in a flood zone but flooding just 3 miles from downtown and it was really bad. We got minor flooding but basically everywhere in Sarasota had inaccessible roads. They keep building concrete condos on every patch of grass available. Nothing left to absorb the water and a whole month of heavy rains prior to Debby
  • Thank you!! As a former Floridian, this is heartbreaking. I’ve never seen those beach roads so empty!!!

Thank you for this. I have a friend who lives on Holmes Beach but she is out of state taking care of family issues. It will give her an idea of what happened.

This was a really neat glimpse into this storm. Thanks for sharing ❤
  • I love that you aren’t constantly talking. Great post. Thank you for updating.
  • @moonoggin
I saw on another video where Sarasota's streets are completely filled with water. Thanks for the ride.
  • @JH-ht8vr
Thanks for the video. I left LBK on the 31st after a few weeks vacation...glad we got out when we did. Keep up the good work!
  • Thank you so much for making this video. We love that area so much and were so concerned when we heard about the storm heading that way. Hard to believe we were just there a couple of weeks ago! We really appreciate you getting out there to film this. Please take care!
  • @Kristen10-22
I’ve driven that way with my hubby. Married on Siesta Key in 1998. Grew up on Longboat. Thanks so much

As a Person who spent the day out at Anna Maria all day, this is just another Rain event. We can have this same thing happen without a hurricane! As for Sarasota, that's where the real damage is. Anywhere along Philippi was terrible! My friend and I were getting people out of their apartment complexes by the Highway! A FIRE truck flooded on Bahia Vista in Amish town, Multiple Bridges need rebuilt as there is no structure under them anymore.
  • Greetings from Clearwater, Florida. I am not venturing out to Clearwater Beach to check it out. LOL. I think Manatee and Sarasota County fared worse than we did. Prayers for the people who suffered storm damage.
  • @rcstout6475
Thanks guys! Appreciate the update, if you get to Siesta in the next few days will look forward to seeing that as well. Hope everyone in the area survived the storm.
  • Thank you for sharing this video. It definetly helps people that are heading there on vacation. Hopefully not to much damage and it dries up soon.
  • Thank you for sharing. I spent my summers on Coquina beach and Long Boat Key. My grandparents are buried in Bradenton. I shared a link with family so they could see too.

Florida is all about water. The winds are the worst of hurricanes, but this one is watere mostely. People learned to us it for recreation anyway. Nice video. We, the public, love these reports. More like us with living in everyday ways.
  • Yes,I’m definitely interested in videos of beaches north of Anna Maria,up to Honeymoon Island
