Spent plenty of time with Gazza playing golf and going to the pub over many months. Heβs the most generous needy person Iβve ever met. I think he missed the adulation of the crowds and needed to replace those highs, hence the drink and drugs. All he wants is to be loved but he cannot help tripping himself up now and again. Having said all that, he is a very special albeit fragile human being.

I used to live a mile away from Gaza when he used to come up to the glebe football pitch to watch Whickham. Then he turned out to be one of our best footballers of all time. Top bloke, Stay safe Paul. Thanks for looking after him Mr Jones. πππ¬π§

I met Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne many times in Spain while I was working at Chirinquito Floria. He is one of the nicest people we had as a guest.

It's so good to see the Legend that is Paul Gascoine still managing to cast a fly with his friends. It reminds me on that story that Ally McCoist tells about Paul hiding the trout in the car. Paul Gascoine thank you so much for the memories from a Rangers fan. I hope that you are in good health and thank you Mr Jones for keeping in touch with Paul and getting him out fishing and doing the other sport he loves.
