Welcome to Part 2 of my Vilnius food adventure! In this video, I take you on a gastronomic journey through the vibrant culinary scene of Vilnius, Lithuania. Join me as I explore Hales Market, for the butcher-to-table pork ribs lunch that will leave you craving for more. Indulge in the delightful flavors of Lokys, where their signature pink soup (Šaltibarščiai) will captivate your taste buds and leave you wanting another bowl.

Part 1 Here:    • Everything I ate in Vilnius: the pink...

As a coffee lover, I couldn't resist visiting some of the charming coffee shops scattered throughout Vilnius. These cozy establishments offer a perfect blend of aromatic coffee and cozy ambiance, making them an ideal spot to relax and recharge during my 72-hour food exploration.

But it's not just about the food! I also had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Occupation and Freedom Rights, where I learned about the important history of Lithuania. The museum offers a profound insight into the country's struggles and triumphs, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in understanding what makes Lithuanians such a resilient nation today.

Finally, the highlight of my culinary journey was dining at Dziaugsmas Restoranas, perhaps the best restaurant in town. Prepare to be amazed by their innovative and exquisitely presented dishes, crafted with the finest local ingredients. This dining experience at Dziaugsmas Restoranas truly exceeded all my expectations and left me with unforgettable memories.

Join me on this incredible food expedition through Vilnius and discover the hidden gems of the city's culinary landscape. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for travel inspiration, this video promises to take you on a whirlwind tour of flavors, sights, and culture.

It wasn't yogurt in the soups. It was grietinė. Similar to crème fraîche. Glad you enjoyed your visit. :)
  • i love this! im also called Priscilla and im coming to Vilnius for an internship this summer

Dziaugsmas I think is considered one of the best restourants not only in Vilnius but the country. There are probably other places on same or simmilar level, but just wanted to say that it's top end tier restaurant and glad you went there and enjoyed
  • The restaurant Džiaugsmas is amazing and it's chef extraordinary. Simple, sincere and genius. Another amazing restaurant on the same level is Ertlio Namas, which serves historical Lithuanian dishes with a modern twist.

02:17 - will you eat pig ears? Have you eaten pig ears before? Do you like pig ears? Tell me, cause I really want to know. Hashtag Divisive opinions!

Great video, and just a correction, what you see in most of the soups, isn't yoghurt, it's sour cream :) Definitely a staple topping to the soups of Lithuanian cuisine.

Michelin doesn't come to a country unless the government pays Michelin a LOT of money. Restaurant reviews are currently not a priority for the government, aš any spare money Lithuania has goes to help Ukraine win the war. Hopefully the war will end soon and Lithuania can pay Michelin to visit our wonderful restaurants. I believe there are at least 10 which could get stars.
