This show went deep to the core of what College Football will be in the future. Really made me think. Do you care if College football becomes a minor league for the NFL and players don’t go to classes and just put on a jersey for your University? Thanks Mark and TJ for prompting this timely and relevant discussion!

In the NFL, it there a range of payments per position and number of plays per game and a median payment. If the median is converted to a % of payment for their team, this percent could be used to pay players from a university's payout
  • Revenue sharing is the great equalizer. The NIL era came and went that fast. With that said, we are decidedly 'Line of Scrimmage University.' The Lions share(pun intended) of any revenue generated by Michigan Football goes to the men fighting in the trenches. This is the dynastic principal that I like to call the BLUEprint.
  • JJ didn’t play a fourth-quarter almost all year long and the regular season so that number is skewed

Wasn’t Michigan the oldest team in college football last season? I think the 4-6 year players definitely helped especially in regard to depth.

Treating anyone over the age of 18 as a child is unhinged. Their decisions have consequences and the business of college football’s job is not to parent. Sure, they’re still developing mentally and physically but coddling these boys don’t help their future. And in the real world, how you get paid is based on what you can command. They want to get paid like adults, well that comes with responsibility and consequences, it’s not up to anyone else but the individual to decide what they want out of the college and the business of football.

Why go to class now if you’re an athlete and can leave when you feel like it
