Mauritius - Tropical Paradise in the Indian Ocean | Free Nature Documentary

The important writer Mark Twain once wrote: "Mauritius was created first, then the paradise!" Sandy beaches border azure blue bays. The green sugar cane grass sways in the wind as if it were waves in the ocean.

Spacious tea plantations alternate with beautiful parks. Usually prosperous guests spend their vacation here. But Mauritius is more than just a dream island for the rich and famous. The colonial times are over.

However, the colourful culture is still marked by the former slaves and Indian immigrants. Dances like the "Sega" or the various Creole cuisine make a visit on this amazing island an unforgettable experience. The many species of animals also contribute to it.

  • Mauritius was created first, and then the garden of Eden ~ Mark Twain Mauritius 🇲🇺 Much more than a paradisiacal island off the coast of SouthEast Africa, just beyond Madagascar. Colors of the flag symbolize its storied, fraught past, it’s bright present and future. Red represents the blood shed for independence which came - finally - March 12, 1992 Blue for the ocean Yellow for the light of independence Green the lush vegetation Mauritius ranks as the most competitive and one of the most developed economies in the African region. There’s free universal health care, free education, free public transport for students, senior citizens, the disabled. The population is multi-lingual French, English, with Asian languages used mostly in music, religious and cultural activities. How cool is that? My kind of place. Mauritius has successfully shaken the shackles of slavery, made peace with its past and is to a diverse, multi-cultural prosperous place. So yeah, seems like paradise to me in more ways than white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Who knew? Now you do. Available WW except GAS (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

This is paradise on earth. No venomous animals.. No deadly natural disasters.. Two seasons: winter and summer.. We have the most beautiful beaches and the most luxurious hotels in the world.. I have visited many countries but never seen anything like my beautiful island.. Unfortunately like many countries we do have a corrupt government which makes life kind of tough and expensive for mauritians.. This is why so many young people have to leave to work on cruises or abroad to get out of poverty.. I'm myself waiting for this covid thing to get over so that i can start cruising again and fulfill my dreams but wherever i go one thing is sure that i will always return to my beautiful motherland ❤️🇲🇺❤️🇲🇺❤️

The culture, cuisine, people and history are so close to that of my country Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹❤
  • There are lots of false information in this documentary. I am from Mauritius. The country got independence on March 12 1968 not 1992. And we are not living anymore in that age when bride doesn't know whom she is getting married to. May be you should have done a really good research before the video. I just named a few false info , there are many.
