The Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals dueled in a Super Bowl for the ages that featured plenty of iconic moments. The first moment came with the Cardinals threatening to score to take the lead at half. However, linebacker James Harrison intercepted Kurt Warner's pass and took it 100 yards to give the Steelers a 17-7 halftime lead. Arizona would not quit as they battled back from a 13-point fourth quarter deficit, only to see "Big" Ben Roethlisberger drive down the field and hit Santonio Holmes in the corner of the end zone for the game winning touchdown.

Even as a non steelers fan, this is one of the greatest super bowls of all time
  • The final game of John Madden’s broadcasting career. What a way for him to go out then on a game like this. RIP John Madden

That 100 yard interception returned for a touchdown was the greatest play in Super Bowl history by James Harrison, not to mention that throw to the back of the end zone was the best pass of Ben Roethlisberger's career.

What a great year for Pittsburgh sports it was in 2009! It starts off with the Steelers winning Super Bowl 43 and concludes with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Sidney Crosby winning the Stanley Cup! This was also the year that I graduated from grad school, so this was a totally epic year for me personally as well! 😊

  • As a Steeler Fan, I could listen to Al Michaels shout "CAUGHT FOR A TOUCHDOWN" over and over again. Chills every time.
