If memory serves me well, the TBS system was created by Iver Johnson, on their "Safety Automatic" revolvers.

You aren't doing anyone any good by minimizing the danger of loading all six chambers in the old models. The danger is real. My best friend's brother dropped his old model Single Six, fully loaded, and took a .22 Mag bullet through his leg. Back then, no one knew the revolvers were not drop safe. You had to be a firearms history expert to know that. When Ruger starting getting claims for these kinds of injuries they started an advertising campaign accusing the injured owners of being idiots for loading six rounds. -

What year is that one? The black guard ones are even more collectible and sought after. Mines a 1964. It had been sent in, before my ownership, but I corrected that by putting back in the wonderful old and original parts that came back with it. Stupid easy to do and it has never ran smoother. I do six with gun on first lock out click. Safe as can be the pin does not rest on the rim because of the backwards spring force. I will never change this classic back, ever. Thanks for the vid, enjoyed it👍
