Any military vet like myself over the age of 40, calls these trucks a deuce and a half and a 5 ton. These trucks were everywhere on military bases (especially Army and Marines) during the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
  • Awesome! I've been contemplating a bobbed truck from Boyce for years..... Can't wait!
  • @KyleBusch124
…why is this dude hugging himself so much, it’s like Ricky Bobby not knowing what to do with his hands haha.
  • This is my lottery dream. A3 6x6 Teslafied all in matt black with captain chairs and AC. Star Wars Imperial stamp on the front doors. :)

  • @jhrubicon1470
I've always wanted one of these! Bobbed deuce & 1/2 w/ the fuel. Manual trans
  • @FFROM5726
The Army did have A3 deuce&half with power steering 😮

Love this video. I had a military license for all of these models back in the day. Tommy needs to drive an original Deuce and a half M35A2 model with no power steering. Then let him put a deuce and half trailer on the back and have him try to back that trailer into a parking spot without jack knifing the trailer. It would be entertainment at it's best.
  • Wow what a awesome video I didn't know this company even existed glad that you guys bring it to light. Cat can't wait to see the finished truck
  • @MarkRVillano
I know that many people buy vans to customize and turn into RV's because of their size and gas mileage. But if a small footprint and decent MPG's aren't deal breakers, buying and using one of these refurbished military trucks as a platform looks like a lot better option; especially for extended off grid excursions. And as a hedge against the Zombie Apocalypse, these bad boys would roll right over them as if they weren't even there.

What a great idea for a video. This series will be so fun. I can't wait to see what one of these will do off and on road. Great idea guys
  • @LukeEdward
Dallas, great to see you carrying the “BOYCE” name on into the coming decades. I remember it fondly from my childhood. Dude, do you need me to send you a properly fitting hat?
  • @abqcrutch
I'm excited to see your build! I've looked at Boyce several times. Also looked at Midwest Military Equipment and their 2.5T LMTVs.
  • @jamesonpace726
Mr Dallas is 1 strange dude, hope his product is genuine....
  • Man...having a deuce 1/2 to just run around would be amazing with the power steering and a few other of those creature comforts...IF diesel was not so ridiculously over priced.
