A single-player playthrough of two "episodes" of Ubisoft's 2009 Nintendo Wii game, Press Your Luck: 2010 Edition.

These games played are the first two of the twenty unique episodes that the game has to offer. This brings back so many memories of daytime TV as a kid when I was home from school!

Recorded over HDMI from a Nintendo Wii U console.

RIP Peter Tomarken and Rod Roddy. This game needed you.
  • I just did the 20 episode play through of this myself. I used to love this show as a kid so I was happy to see it here. I thought this game was a great representation of the actual show and the Whammys are so adorable (unless you're the one that landed on it).

“COME ON, BIG BUCKS!!!! NO WHAMMIES!!!!!!! STOP!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Now I get it!

7:35 BIG BUCKS!! You win... a vacation? It's supposed to be that $1,500.
  • Press Your Luck from 1983 through 1986 on CBS hosted by Peter tomarken voice over Rod Roddy later became Price is Right voice over in 1985 took over from the death of Johnny Olson and Charlie O'Donnell later became Wheel of Fortune voice over rerun on USA cable from the early 90s era
  • The press your luck pilot theme on the Wii version should've also been on the PS3 version
  • @supersaver87
Jim Morrison in NSYNC...now THAT would have been interesting.

I'm not sure what to make of this game. They didn't use the classic PYL theme (they used the pilot music instead), there's no sound on the Whammies, and when you hit Big Bucks, it takes you to the Trip square instead of Square #4, where the largest cash amount actually is. It's like the game programmers didn't even watch an episode of the show, they just saw bits and pieces while channel surfing.
  • The company made a Whammy itself because the Big Bucks always takes the winner of it to the highest money space on the Big Board, not the Vacay spot. 1001 Pardons for that error.

Those prizes total $7000, combined with the $8500 in cash you won, gives you a grand total, Sarumona, of $15,500! Congratulations!"-Rod Roddy. "Wow! $15,500 in cash and prizes, and as champion, you get to continue on the next show. Kelly, you're leaving us with $9,800 in cash, and Emily, we got some parting gifts for you backstage and our thanks for being with us, and until next time when we'll see Sarumona, this is Peter Tomarken saying thanks for pressing your luck! Bye-bye!"-Peter Tomarken. "Some members of our studio audience will recieve (fee plug), and here's what we have for our departing contestants: (fee plugs). This is Rod Roddy speaking for Press Your Luck, a Carruthers Company presentation!"-Rod Roddy. "This is Vince McMahon! Tune into WWF Monday Night RAW, tonight at 9, ONLY ON USA!!!!!"-Vince McMahon. "An 8-letter word and the clue is: the crossword game you've played all your life is on television. It's Scrabble, next on USA!"-Alan Kalter.
