Watching you drill and blast the rock brought back memories of when I was a teenager and I would help my Dad to do the same thing. We used an air operated drill run by a gas compressor and would poke a hole in the end of the dynamite and insert the blasting cap. The cap was detonated by a fuse which we would have about 10 feet long. Light it and run. We were doing this to create a dam on a creek and had federal approval. Can't do that anymore. I still remember the sound as it went off. Thanks for bringing back a fond memory.

The man is a combo of Letsdig18 and Andrew Camarata. Excellent slow-motion shots. I really enjoy watching your videos.
  • Always great viewing. Love the camera work and editing, the slow mo & drone footage is cool. Keep up the great work.
  • Не знаю как я попал на этот канал, но я восхищен! То что мы все так любили делать в детсве, чувак теперь делает во взрослой и намного масштабней. Ручь стали больше и взрывы помощьней) что сказать,просто работа мечты!

Wow! Those detonations were absolutely awesome! You've got more energy than I do in a week. Much respect.

Oh my god! We used to use those drills as conscripts back in 2012 in the pioneer battalion. Never thought i ever see one again

I've watched professional blasters use just enough explosive to break the rock into manageable pieces for an excavator (Hi Dave!), but your method is much more fun and there's almost nothing left to clear up 😁

Excellent video and great videography. Very interesting and informative watching you address the issues you're faced with.
  • Unusual, interesting and sometimes remarkable. Your camera work and editing is intelligent. The content is real frontier activity which one doesn't get much chance to see, let alone do anymore. Thanks for this channel; it is now a favourite and I expect the subscriptions will soar. From rural South Australia (limestone and granite country so blasting using nitropril has been frequently used).
  • That last slo-mo shot was the best. Very cool video. When you cut a drainage ditch right across the road. That is exactly what I would have done.

Explosion seen from the air at 43:21 is truly impressive: the pieces of rock fly really high!
