His friends reaction gives me goosebumps. Imagine listening to Yesterday for the first time and by one of your own close friends
  • What hit me the most about this movie was the feeling of hearing these songs for the first time again through the actors reactions and realising how big they are. After hearing these songs all my life it's easy to take them for granted or just listen to them on "auto pilot", not thinking about it, but while watching the movie you really do realise the impact they have on you and how magnificent they are. Damn, the Long and Winding Road was like a punch to the gut. Unbelievable what The Beatles did, the music and art they have left us, damn, there's nothing like it.
  • Think about hearing your favorite song and then realizing it was written by one of your closest friends. It’s magical.
  • Jack: I didn’t write it Paul McCartney wrote it, The Beatles Carol: The Who? Jack: No The Beatles

His facial expressions when listening to his friends are excellent

Lilly James nails it in this scene. She is truly a talented actress! She blows me away.

I love when he stops and the girl in a demanding manner says “go on”
  • He didn't travel to an alternate dimension; he's just in North Korea.
  • Even if they don’t know who the Beatles are, he still said he didn’t write it. So why would they call him cocky for defending a song he never claimed as his lol

The more I rewatch this scene, the more I appreciate the cut to their surroundings. We often do remember exactly where we were and what we were feeling when we experience a song like this for the first time. The children and pets laughing and playing, the breeze rippling through our hair, boats lazily passing by, possibly the smell of food being prepared drifting from the windows, a pint in the safety and comfort of the presence of friends: all important details without which this scene would be less impactful. Beautiful.
  • Her reaction is on point. She's hooked from the first line and demands to hear more. As he finishes, she's as breathless as she is confused , wondering if he really did just do that, forever captured by one of the best songs ever written.
  • The Beatles were only together for 8 years! Their music is immortal
  • I loved almost all of Beatles songs, after watched this movie, my love to those songs raised up to another level....
  • I find myself coming back to this scene quite often as it always feels like I'm hearing it for the first time. Idk if it's the actors or the cinematography during the scene but it's so well done.
  • Most unrealistic part of this movie about an alternate universe is that someone could have passed on Lily James for more than a millisecond.
  • Sylvie is hiding in an apocalypse, aka a world without the Beatles.
  • Theory: TVA accidentally pruned George, Paul and Ringo while chasing Sylvie. To atone for this mistake, Sylvie enchants Jack while unconscious on the hospital bed, bringing to surface memories of the Beatles. She specifically chose Jack to bring their music back on the sacred timeline. The rest is Yesterday history. Nah, just came here to see Lady Loki sass on Jack Malik.

This movie was insane. It was like hearing the songs again for the first time
