Very enjoyable video. Thanks for sharing it! Yes, with the SFI in the 190’s at the moment, things are really looking (sounding) good on 10. I’m having similar amounts of fun, but because I joined the hobby at the bottom of cycle 25, I’m envious of all the folks - like your good self - who’ve experienced a few solar maximums. Long may this propagation continue!

Yesterday's SFI was 192. You'd think that 10 meters, 8 meters, and maybe even 6 meters would be full of juicy DX, right? Not so fast... Here in Pittsburgh, the bands are dead silent for most of the day. Even the TE skip roar from Brazil on channel 5 is non-existent. The band does open slightly from about two hours before sunset until sunset, then it's like the antenna is on the ground. But, since it's autumn Down Under, your conditions are like ours were the past two winters: fantastic.

I'm curious what camera you used for this - i can clearly see the scan lines, which isn't much of a thing recently... Great DX success! One of these days, I'd love to make contact from California 73 de AJ6IY

Greetings from the UK! Great video Peter! With this antenna were you using a counterpoise connected to your ankle? Thanks for sharing

Hi Peter, congrats, especially for the contact with Slovenia, my country. When did you make that contact e.g. the time? 73 S57AP, just bought a Yaesu FT 817ND for a great price!

Are there any Antarctic amateur radio stations active on 10 meters? Now would be a good time to find out
-
Were all those contacts made via SSB on 5W? Not possible with FM or AM?

Hey there!

Hello Peter, Where can I find detailed specs of your aerial? Thanks. 73's Robert VK4TFN Brisbane.
