A documentary exploring how artificial intelligence is changing life as we know it — from jobs to privacy to a growing rivalry between the U.S. and China.

FRONTLINE investigates the promise and perils of AI and automation, tracing a new industrial revolution that will reshape and disrupt our world, and allow the emergence of a surveillance society.

I told my wife I was worried that our computers were becoming sentient and spying on us.... My wife laughed, I laughed, then Siri laughed, and Alexa laughed...
  • This narrator could read nursery rhymes and it would still sound like hard hitting investigative journalism.

Ultimate famous last words: "The engineers are confident. . .

I’ve been involved in tech since the 70’s and found this informative and sobering. Going through my apps and browsers and making some changes as well as reducing the number.

I absolutely loved watching the mayor tremble and give “fluffed answers” to some of the basic questions you were both asked. Hope you win
  • I'm tired of the government looking at all my posts and not liking them

Who looked at "Minority Report" and said to themselves; "Hey, that is the kind of society I want to live in!".....?!?!?

I'm investing in a tent company because millions of Americans are going to be homeless in the next 10 years.

From Southern Africa. Having to witness unemployment rates increase in America is so surreal. It is definitely a good idea to learn a new trait or profession, preferably one that will increase your odds of employability in the 5th industrial revolution or generating your own wealth and produce. You'll never be too old to change careers. Learning is everlasting...

Thank you for the informative video. I always prioritize diversifying my investments and never invest my entire savings in one specific type or area.

Thank you Frontline (and PBS) for continuing to produce necessary content.

I'm not afraid of A.I., I'm afraid of the intention of A.I.s creators. They are the most dangerous.
  • Although, I think that there is a shift away from AI a little bit; this is the most thorough Frontline episode I have ever seen, and I've been watching every episode for 8 years.
  • I am 50 for the second time. In my mid-twenties folks in my circle did a variety of jobs, many were at the start of what has become great careers. Many of the young people in my life are in jobs without health insurance, they are classified as independent contractors, many are in the service industry and work for tips. While others are drowning in student loan debt. It's discouraging.
