At first, I thought the Clippers didn't want to resign PG until seeing how the Clippers can let him and Harden walk, then they'll have max cap space. The Clippers are approaching being a 2nd Apron team with PG and Harden, which restricts some options to make the team better. They can resign PG and be under apron and will be able to use their mid-level exception (along with making trades without restrictions)...
