    To the person who is reading this, don't give up on your channel. Keep going, Its going to be better. 💯
  • I frequently change my title and thumbnail if I'm getting a low CTR. Most of the time, it helps the performance of the video. Sometimes, I change it in the first few hours, sometimes it's days or weeks. HOWEVER, I've had videos with low CTR's for months, and then one day the video was discovered, and the CTR doubled or tripled, without me ever changing the title or thumbnail at all. It's hard to know sometimes WHEN to change a title or thumbnail, but a lot of times you just have to go with your gut.
  • This actually worked. From 5.6% to 9.6% when I change the thumbnail. We can do this, it works.
  • What's needed is a tool that can take the title, thumbnail text, and video transcription - and compare that against the CTR of other videos on the same topic and score it accordingly. That's a multi-million dollar income generating tool if you can find someone to partner with to develop it. 😉
  • I finally found a good time and video to try this on; my click-through rate was lower than normal, about 2.8%, so I changed the title. Two days later, it's at 4% click through rate with a whole lot more impressions! The impressions graph went significantly up shortly after the title change. Still room for improvement but it's awesome to actually try these things out and see results! Thanks for the advice!

    I posted a video on a faceless youtube channel that had click through rate of only 2.9%. I changed the thumbnail for a much better one. People clicked more but I noticed that most of them were quitting the video within the first 30 seconds. I had a disclaimer as the intro, I took it off with the YouTube editor and my views skyroketed like crazy. The CTR went up to 7.6%. My views went from 40 to 650 views in 12 hours. The YouTube game is really about small details.

    Is it a recommended practice to post the same video at least twice and change only the title and thumbnail? Then check impressions and CTR?

    I heard changing a title to often can confuse the YouTube algorithm, is this true? I like the idea of making a good performer better, 80/20 rule, but I've been too cautious to attempt that. Thanks for the tips.

    i was taught to leave everything as it is while the youtube algorithm was promoting it for the first 7 days - now i know better! yay!
