  • That's an insane tone. Nu metal songs are usually simple but very groovy.

So as much as chris and I would love to do a 3 hour video we obviously couldn’t do all the bands!😅 leave a comment on other bands and songs we left out!🤘🏼🤘🏼

Nu-metal gets a lot of shit (even from some of the band that were featured in this video) but, one thing that it should be recognized for is that it really brought a lot of focus on the bass guitar in metal. The relatively stripped down riffs and song structures, plus the genres overall focus on groove and ryhthm, made the bass pivotal, when in a lot of past subgenres it's been more incidental and overshadowed. It's also bred and featured many extremely talented bass players that were playing bass parts that were just as complex as the guitarists, and were often even moreso. Glad that this video exists to display many of these great musicians that don't get the props and recognition that they deserve most of the time. The playing and tone were spot-on, and it's clear that he's got a lot of passion for the instrument and the music. You guys just got a new sub. Great work overall.

  • Definitely happy seeing SOAD on here but I'll admit that I wasn't expecting to see Forest, super underrated song imo and Shavo is also a criminally underrated bassist. The stuff he plays is fucking awesome, such an killer player

What a tone between the Spector and this Pedal. Really up there with the best I've heard on here.
