  • I'd avoid (and do) the eco boost fiestas, plenty of cars about that don't blow up, dropping the sump and cleaning the strainer is too late as the belts had it, only good thing about having a look is hopefully it's got a new one on. I'd deffo not find customers who'll be willing to pay for a belt, or part pay, they want it all sorted in the price, I'd have passed on both cars tbh.

Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat also have the wet belts
  • The engine in that Yaris sounds like a little canal boat puffing along 😂
  • @dannycrooks8462
The problem with the eco booms 💥 is not just the wet belt to get them to go you have to thrash the engine and so after a few years the engines are trashed

All the VW Eos came with the sunroof feature. Pretty cool feature to have! Maybe the next raffle car??
  • Ive just spent 5 hours changing the track control arms and track rod ends on a 2016 yaris and it was rotten as a pear underneath, advised customer to get get rid asap.

1.25 is a extremely reliable engine, it's in use day and night and covering 13,000 miles per year without a single failure. They can be economical too, I can get 380 miles out of it

You recon 3k for that old Yaris 🤯!. Cars must be worth more down your end.
  • @Mach_One_Photos
with the EOS when they leak they stink of damp. but a dry stored car that comes out when the suns out will not be the same as a car that lives outside and that car looks very clean 👍👍
  • Fiesta values will do OK they are good cars and with the number of small non hybrid cars on offer shrinking there will be a steady demand for them, not like your Corsas etc. are super reliable.

James: "These DSG gearboxes are incredible" maybe, until they either: 1. Entirely shite themselves, that'll be £5K for a new box ta (OR) 2. The clutch packs where out and because the clutch is part of the gearbox (unlike a manual gearbox), that'll be a professional gearbox rebuild ...yeah, I can't imagine why anyone that OWNS a car might choose a manual gearbox...🤦‍♂
  • @STORMCLOUDGREY
Should be easy to get a 2nd hand Fiesta wing in white James
  • @alanoliver535
get the 1.5 tdci they are the best no problems ,i have one 115,000 miles runs sweet.
  • @d4nzo
if you buy and change the wingbon the fiesta look at a vid on the hidden nut behind qauter glass, open-ended spanner on it a couple turns (not to much) to take wing off, but fiddly, just had to change a white wing slso funny enough
  • @davercs
I think the kia is the low range it has compared to other evs available. Another great video james keep up the good work
  • Sign of a blocked oil pump strainer, oil light takes a while to go out when you first start the car, also the light can flicker at tick over . At that point the engine might be screwed already .
  • @henrykravitz468
Just avoid EcoBoost engines and Puretech engines. With the Yaris, could you not keep it as a courtesy car if you need one? Just fix the air con, wash it, clean inside, and then you run it into the ground? Surprised the gold A class hasn't sold yet, it is a really nice car and colour. Great video, have a good week, James.

Hi James, another great video. Id double check the Wet belt freq with Ford as they have reduced the change on the 2.0Ltr from 10 years/140k miles to 6 years/100k miles. Pete Turnbridge Autos Ltd 0
