Sitting beside my Uncle in a dark hospital room, listening to this while he passes over to the other side. Love your family and friends genuinely. Appreciate life, and don't be afraid. Enjoy the ride the best you can, for as long as you can. This thing was not built to last

If you've never just lied down and listened to this entire album from start to finish - do it now. This is a mandatory human experience :)

Pink Floyd music isn't just music..its an experience touches mind, body and soul.

I like the beginning of this song because it sounds like spongebob being lit on fire.
  • Helping me through a panic attack . The power of music . Thankyou pink floyd
  • This was released 48 years ago on this date. I was just 15 years old. Still as good now as it was then. Twist up a number and put on the headphones, life is good.

During my extended periods of drug use this was the song I always chose to get high to. Now I'm 8 months sober and this song still hits me the same way it did then, maybe even a little more. It brings such an overwhelming comfort that sometimes brings me to tears. These two songs and alot of other Floyd songs have that crazy power. I love Pink Floyd.

This band doesn’t create music, they create portals to other planes of existence; wow, just, wow

This album was on the charts continuously from 1973 to 1988!
  • Breathe, breathe in the air Don't be afraid to care Leave but don't leave me Look around and choose your own ground For long you live and high you fly And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry And all you touch and all you see Is all your life will ever be Run, rabbit, run Dig that hole, forget the sun, And when at last the work is done Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one For long you live and high you fly But only if you ride the tide And balanced on the biggest wave You race toward an early grave. Home, home again I like to be here when I can When I come home cold and tired It's good to warm my bones beside the fire Far away, across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spell.

Great Gig In The Sky, Richard Wright's masterpiece, with Clare Torry's beautiful voice. Endlessly magnificent.
  • When the woman comes in singing, that moment is where I climax at spiritually. This band.. is so rare, and timeless; addictive.

  • Hard to believe that the vocal was unscripted. It came out naturally, like a thing that always ways and always ever will be. A true work of art.
