Lyrics:
I breath in hard
Don’t speak cos it’s like a bitter pill
You blow my mind, you make my heart beat
Harder, harder, harder, hard
The king’s a clown
No one is laughing it’s not a drill
Just look outside the world is ending
Faster, faster, faster, faster, fast
The echoes of that news ring loud (the echoes, the echoes)
No sound can ever drown it out (the echoes)
It breaks my heart, breaks my heart into
A million pieces
Oh, it breaks my heart into a million pieces
If it’s gonna break me won’t you let me go?
Leave it till the morning, I don’t wanna know.
Breaks my heart, breaks my heart into
A million pieces
We’re too far gone
Nothing I say will mean anything
Let’s drink, fuck, dance right through disaster
I don’t wanna talk about it now
The echoes of that news ring loud (the echoes, the echoes)
No sound can ever drown it out (the echoes)
It breaks my heart, breaks my heart into
A million pieces
Oh, it breaks my heart into a million pieces
If it’s gonna break me won’t you let me go?
Leave it till the morning, I don’t wanna know.
Breaks my heart, breaks my heart into
A million pieces
Get fear and loathing out your mind
And don’t pull me, don’t pull me down from the ceiling
It breaks my heart, breaks my heart into
A million pieces
Oh, it breaks my heart into a million pieces
If it’s gonna break me won’t you let me go?
Leave it till the morning, I don’t wanna know.
Breaks my heart, breaks my heart into
A million pieces

The fact that Bastille can break down any song into a version with full orchestra is reason enough for them to be one of the best.... Love this!
-
Dear Bastille : you're KILLING me, we NEED the orchestrated album. Pretty please.
-
ETA: three years later and I still listen to this version at least once a day ❤🔥 Orchestral versions of songs should always exist
-
I absolutely adore every collab they do with the London Symphony Orchestra. I have yet to see a single one I didn't like, Bastille is seriously underrated.
-
The album version is undoubtedly a party bop and it’s a song you sing to a crowded room when you want to forget. This is something completely new. It’s delicate and it’s almost like a personal conversation before two friends/loved ones. It’s one person smiling at the other and wanting to just have the night with them without having to think about anything else. It’s between playful and pleading and it is amazing.
-
I'd love to see "those nights", "quarter past midnight" and "bad decisions" being played that way
-
most underrated song of the year jesus christ
-
I'm not sure why, but this just makes me think about how beautiful people are. We have the capacity to do such harm, but we can also cooperate and create. It's incredible.
-
So when do we get a full orchestrated album?🤞 Edit: Please!
-
2:37 Can we talk about Dan’s escaped smile at this moment? Because that was so heartwarming
-
I love how comfortable Dan looks in this. As much as I wanted to hug the painfully shy old Dan, it's beautiful to see him coming into his own and looking less tortured during performances. <3
-
This song and this version just leaves me speechless. I love the ‘cinematography’ of this video, how the camera was moving from person to person. It’s gives me a realization that although we are unique beings, we can harmoniously unite to create anything great in this world.
-
The tender intro version of Dan's voice got me hooked!
-
I've had a terrible day, and then I opened YouTube to find this. You guys are a gift.
-
I heard this version of Million Pieces before the original version and only the orchestral one makes me very emotional. It has such amount of positive energy.♥️
-
This version of “Million Pieces” fills me with joy. I love seeing this collection of people collaborating on such a beautiful piece. Thank you, Bastille!
-
That uniqueness in voice I can't stand this amazingness
-
Look at the smiles on their faces!! They're loving it!! It's breath taking!! I love how much Dan always get's into it, he moves with the song
-
I swear every song sung by Bastille sounds like a timeless classic

Dan , A quiet , shy musical genius . Smiling while he delivers his amazing gift to us , He knows he has absolutely delivered his best . I much prefer watching these live performances . The mimed video versions lack the extraordinary power of this performance . Bastille fan forever ❤️ ( 65 years of age )
