Imagine drifting with a Controller in CarX...

I've played CarX on a steering wheel for a long time, now it's time to test how a Controller feels like. Comparing 900 degrees No Assist wheel against Controller with Assists ON. My personal opinion is Controller is the way to go in CarX. Wheel is more fun in games with realistic physics, for example Assetto Corsa which is a Sim game.

    You ate the reason why I wanted carx so bad. My brother and I begged our dad for carx and when we got good grades we got it. And now I play carx on controller on console

    played for years on controller, moved to wheel couple weeks ago and although very hard to get started, personally i think its a lot more fun. realising the impact of things like caster in particular and how it affects your FFB, and how dramatically the fine-tuning can change your car and its ability to slide, compared to controller where its throw on a quick tune on and just go. definitely not so chill though having to throw a wheel around.

    wheel by far , more immersive and got me more into cars irl . much more satisfying to drive any type of way with wheel . even cruising and riding like it’s irl

    I agree, controller is way easier than a wheel. When I first played it I was able to drift with my controller straight away, didn't even have to practice. Now that I have a wheel and have been playing Assetto when I jump on CarX I try using my wheel and it's a bit of a challenge. Slowly getting better but finding the challenge quite fun. Feels a bit more realistic with the wheel but hard to keep it smooth. Game is definitely controller oriented.

    Excellent video! I tried playing carX with a controller and I found it harder than a Steering wheel. Idk if that's because I'm used it or what.

    I indeed agree with you. So now I go Controller for CarX and Wheel for Assetto Corsa...and for each type of game, each type of controller fits them best. I used to think I was a loser if i used controller in Carx, but after learning to drift in AC, i feel like carx is better off with a controller.
