The HEV suit sounds like it's actually worried about you.

No wonder how Gordon can deal with the many horrors he faces in his journey: he's always high on morphine.
  • @BluZombie
all 8 icons display at once Advancement made: How Did We Get Here?

"EMERGENCY! USER DEATH IMMINENT!" That one always got me freaked out as a kid.

  • @squishyblanket
Now imagine Gordon gets addicted to morphine and starts jumping from tall heights every half an hour.

This just shows how many details orginal Half Life had back in the 90s. It was truly a milestone in gaiming desing.
  • I like how the HEV Suit sounds more scared of heat damage than it does the death of it’s own user
  • Aww, the fact that the suit insures you wait a little while between morphine shots to insure that you can still remain conscious and don't OD is so endearing to me

the "USER DEATH INMINENT" gives me the chills, imagine that sound in real life, spooky.

Internal Bleeding Detected Runs around like a champ.

I love how Gordan looks around after the fall at 5:20 as if to say "Hey, where's my morphine?"

Upon death, the user will flatline, alongside it announcing the death of the user. HEV Flatline “User Fatality”
  • The nerve gas one always confused me, because the first time I saw it was in Team Fortress Classic, and I was like "Some guy in a ski mask is slowly killing me?"

HEV suit: User death imminent Gordon, not much later back at full health: And believe me I am still alive, I'm doing science and I'm still alive!
