I always just assumed that the procedure used to neutralize Doppels was lethal to regular humans

One issue with this theory, when a doppelganger reveals itself, it sometimes says 'go ahead call your D.D.D friends, they will never be able to finish us off in the end and we will achive our goal" this means that they are being killed, and the doppelganger talks as if they have a seperate goal which means that the doppels either dont want to replace everybody or the D.D.D dont want to replace evrybody.

I also noticed that Anastacha used to live with her mom Nacha but in nightmare mode she lives with the milkman which is her father since they have similar eyes

My theory is that Doppels are just too durable. The amount of damage needed to capture one is so extreme that it kills a human. Hence the distinction

Great video, but I would also like you to include that one clown we meet in nightmare mode. The one that ends up killing a D.D.D. Officer after we push the red button on him.

As for the whole killed vs captured thing, that could be chalked up to the process of capturing doppelgangers being fatal to humans. For example, maybe they flood the room with some gas that incapacitates doppelgangers, but poisons humans. That would also explain the need for the hazmat suits. Just a thought, but I'm probably overthinking it.

One thing that I've heard that kind of controdicts the statement of then killing the neighbors and capturing the doppelgangers, is that maybe whatever they use to capture the doppels (chemicals, gas, tools/weapons... idk) could be deadly to the neighbors but can only pacify the doppels. But it kind of falls apart if they want to keep the doppels as the only one alive
