This video is my recap and analysis of the final match of Haikyu!!; MSBY Black Jackals vs Schweiden Adlers. I personally believe that the entire story builds up to this match, and Furudate writes it pretty much perfectly in my opinion, with pretty much everything that I wanted to see from it! Please leave a like and maybe subscribe if you enjoy the video.

To think that they wanna fit this match, the brazil arc, AND Kamomedai match in ONE MOVIE is mental

It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of noya but it’s so fitting
  • the introduction of kageyamas grandpa recontextualizes kageyamas entire introduction into the series. The reason kageyama was so harsh and intense in his last year of middleschool, the extra weight of him not getting into shiratorizawa (his grandfathers alma mater) and the void he left in his enjoyment of volleyball being prophetically filled by an unskilled scrub (at the time) like hinata really makes you love their competitive dynamic and relationship as rivals even more than the show had already made you. Honestly a literary example of using back story ALLLLL THE WAY until the end instead of at the beginning of a story as what many consider generic/tropey and at times an early cheap way to create exposition. Instead with the write timing (in this case the most extreme use of timing) it instead becomes a story changing chills inducing recontextualization due to the groundwork furudate had laid out the entire series. This use of a common literary tool should be studied and used as an example and learned by all who write and endeavor in fiction

I disagree in around 7 min part, Hoshiumi and Hinata was shown on par with eachther on different ways. They keep getting point after point but Hoshiumi gain them by being a little giant while Hinata gain the points by being the greatest decoy

hearing someone else slowly talk about kageyamas backstory to me in detail made me breakdown. its just so tragic and sad, and its such good writing to make us better understand and sympathize with tobio. At the end of the days our characters are just high school boys, boys- people of all ages go through so much, and to understand how all these years kageyama has been nothing but lonely and a bit ostracized is truly heartbreaking. To know volleyball has been the only thing keeping him going- birthed from the love and joy that came with playing it with family- only to slowly grow and watch those two who made the sport what it was to you dwindle away and leave. I myself relate to tobio in that way, and it really cemented him as one of the best characters in the series to me. The story is also just drawn incredibly well. You can see how after tobio is left alone he will still set aside a chair for his grandfather- and that he coached/played at shiritorizawa whcih probably inspired tobio to go there. Its also just such a nice touch to see them callback to how tobio tried to get in but was denied- and including that after his grandfather passed is another level of sad. The solemn expressions are so delicately crafted you forget that tobio's eyes are not real, only a drawing. The way his eyes are drawn differently in the panel where his grandfather says he is too tired to watch games with him is devastating. The road to the top is lonely- and we are reminded of that. But Tobio eventually found someone to run there with- and im just really happy that he had such a great grandfather whose words reasured him for the years that he went without him. What a beautiful story

One think is that hinata can show kageyama how powerful he is after their match in junior high....

One of my favorite small moments was that shot of Sakusa and Ushiwaka. It shows that the two respected each other in high school and have an extremely healthy rivalry. Considering they were 2 of the top 3 aces, it's amazing to see the two compete and have each other's respect in the pro's. Also, it's one of the few times that we see Sakusa give a genuine smile.

Great video, n a very good storyline indeed but the outcome of the great king (Argentina vs Japan) vs the other monsters is something I am dying to know about…. A video having a short discussion about the possibilities of this match will be great

Kageyama going to Karasuno changed him for the better! He's finally become a TRUE King of the Court.
