I'm laughing at the mental image of this ginormous, borged-up character and their crew meeting up with the fixer. Fixer: So, that guy your Solo? Solo: No, he's our medic.

Directly from the desk of the mayor of BALANCETOWN
  • @Sinjinja
I found an error with his character sheet lol, he's over the starting skill total by a few points, likely didnt realize paramedic is x2 cost

I decided to make this character as an NPC. Since my group doesn't have a Medtech, I thought I'd create an NPC they can pay for healing services between sessions and such. I thought it would be funny if the kind healer was also secretly a badass. Just for fun, I decided to test him against a boss and a mook and without even using any cover this mad lad stomped the boss and the mook without taking more than 5 damage and ablating his armor by only 2 points. Truly hilarious.

I feel like this is two ideas in one concept. the whole rof 2, 4d6 martial arts master is badass. It can be added to pretty much any class though. The second concept is a medtech "buffer/healer" who can let the party (including themselves) take street drugs then use rapidetox (along with the other pharmacueticals) to keep the party from addiction. Both ideas are very cool, and can work well together or seperately.
  • That whole Rate Of Fire thing is interesting... pretty strange that every starting character gets a Very Heavy Pistol when generated (strange, I thought), but then probably the first thing any character would want to do is 'downgrade' to a Heavy Pistol where the ROF goes from a 1 to a 2. Aaaand so on... Cool video, thanks!
  • Great video. This type of character would do really well on a Trauma Team evac mission!

I would like to see more videos like this one. Can you show more power characters
  • @rafthree
Great vid. NGL but when I heard the intro, I sat up in my chair and got ready to roll for initiative.

Well, so just did a bit of looking around. Seems like the intended mechanics for Rapidetox is to end the effects of a drug. At which point, you must roll for the secondary effect. Rapidetox just makes the primary effect end early. Think about it, if Rapidetox worked to cure addictions, Therapy wouldn't be offered as an option. That said... it's up to the GM to determine these things, and if the GM is okay with people breaking the game, that's cool :)

Yup. This build is the reason why my group decided to limit characters to 1 Hospital grade cyberware at creation.
  • Please do more of these! You gotta pick Hutt’s brain for more of his OP starting character ideas
  • Even if it's worded that way, a shot won't cure addiction. Seems like a subjective call
  • @obamabiden
my first character i made was basically this build (linear frame+ martial arts) but an exec instead of a medtech, probably not quite as op, he's only been in one session so far
  • @alian133
Oh no... Accidentally made this character.
  • @bananapants76
Am i the only one not getting those skills on the sheet to ad up.. as i count it he is Kissinger 16 points
  • @TheZampa
Is there a way to 11 Body without the Frame?
