One of the things that confused me most was that the characters had to sneak the lava dragon up to ICARUS because they didn't have electricity. I mean, they literally have a dragon that produces electricity and is trained AND able to follow commands

For real though at the rate dreamworks is pumping out seasons I wouldn’t be surprised if they meant to premiere this show out years ago, kept pushing the release date back, but kept making more episodes in the meantime. There is no way they’re making episodes this fast unless they have the largest animation team ever (and I highly doubt this show has that big of a budget, for, well, obvious reasons), or they’re putting their animators under EXTREME abuse and crunch (in which case I’d be surprised that it’s been kept under wraps for this long)

My question is why give Eugene his own dragon instead of sharing Wu and Wei with his sister? Think about it, one of the core things about the episode was them rekindling their familiar bond. Why not emphasize that by sharing the same dragon that literally has two heads.

I realised a great way they could actually write this show, follow the books! You have kids training dragons years after a dragon war. This would also lead them to introduce an antagonist I'm really surprised they haven't used yet. And I know how to make it work with the film Lore. A night fury, using the screaming death logic of a larger subspecies, is born. Grows to around 5X the size of Thunder, and instead of being black & white, it's black and a deep blood red. And boom you have the Red Rage Furious himself!

Something else you missed from the pig dragon episode. He immediately assumed it's a blockage, but when they confirm it's a blockage his solution is to just reach in and pull it out. Why carry that giant thing out, and risk lava destroying medical equipment, when he could have just reached in at the beginning?

5:27 They also had that shield in RTTE. Interresting that no one at DreamWorks saw the similarity, even when they slap it on the middle of the screen

If the armor has dragon scale on them, then why do none of the kids armors matches the color of their dragon. Toms is blue and June is purple

1:57 there was supposed to be a comic that took place between the 2nd and 3rd movie that had a lot of info, like what happened to berks allies like the berserker and outcast. Heather was even going to make an appearance and shirtless hiccup but the comic was cancelled

Honestly, I would love to see a series where you and your friends get together to watch RTTE and just talk about how good it is

That can't be a Dragon Eye, right? There were only two that we knew of, and they destroyed both of them at the end of Race to the Edge.

I think the worst part about all these episodes having been worked on and finished at the same time long ago in advance and split up into seasons later is that the people working on it can’t even incorporate fan feedback if they wanted to, as it’s too late.

Damn, this show looks like something I animated in Blender and wrote in first grade.

Here's something honestly annoyed me about this season and I gave the writers too much credit. I thought Eugene and Jun were gonna be this show's shitty take on Ruffnut and Tuffnut and share Wui and Wei. They shown that Jun rides one of the Heads and then later introduce her brother Eugene, it gave me the idea that the 2 headed dragon was gonna get 2 riders(Like could have the lesson of 'You don't choose who you work with'). But no, they gave Eugene a dragon for himself. I just found that kinda disappointing. Also, they try to make us ship these characters and are honestly failing at it.
