Johannesburg is huge and has many cities within the City. Midrand, Waterfall City, Sandton City, Fourways, Rosebank, Randburg, Constantia Kloof, Booysens, Crown Mines, Bedfordview, Links field, Wyneburg, Lombardy, Kew, Houghton, North Cliff, Fairland, etc. These are business hubs that make Johannesburg. They are mix towns with commercial, industrial and residential use including hospitals, clinics, and everything in between. GDP of Sandtong annually is US$ 80 billion. Think Rwanda a country. Their GDP is USD 10.6 Billion. Johannesburg is 8 x bigger than that country. Bigger than Cameroon and Ghana for example.

Johannesburg Stock Exchange is 17th largest stock exchange in the world and number 1 in Africa.

I noticed that a lot of people from outside Joburg get this wrong. The neighbourhood is called Sandton, Sandton City is the name of the mall.

I love Sandton. I was in South Africa a few years ago and I lived in Sandton. What a beautiful place to live. The serenity, architectural designs of the houses and beautiful people in the neighborhood made me fall in love with it. I must definitely live that experience again.

been living here for 4 years now , still blown away by the this area, in person you constantly hear sports cars roaring, Its really safe too, I remember working in those buildings opposite sandton city mall some days early in my career i used to pull all nighters at the office, and take a walk in the empty streets at 3 am in the morning with earpods on, Security driving passed every 2 minutes, really beautiful at night

There's so much wealth in SA that it just needs to be evenly distributed and we won't desire to travel anywhere out of thr continent. I'm a Cameroonian studying here in SA and I think many South Africans take for granted how developed and blessed their country is. Even if it has its own unique challenges it is one of the fastest growing countries in the world
