I watched OSU and University of Minn's performances several times. Both were amazing. I can see how OSU got the edge. OSU dancers outperformed them, the use of floor, the energy, the props. They just seemed more locked in from beginning to end
  • For me it’s not even a question… the raw emotion in this beats every other performance. Gave me goosebumps & made me tear up through a screen, that’s how expressive these dancers are!!

It is a stunning dance. It is nice to see a truly artistic dance win over a dance that while visually stunning, relied on more tricks and turns. Minnesota was great but this was an emotionally infused story which is why it won.

📣❗️I knew Ohio would win this and why, but I also said this one would cause controversy. As a thousand year UDA/NDA coach what I’ve always seen in Jazz category is once you get to finals ALL the top teams all have great technique, great precision, great choreography, amazing skills/tricks tricks etc. The win in Jazz category, the way they differentiate between superb teams always comes down to who brought the most creativity-originality-story telling with emotion that moved the audience.💡Exactly what pushed UMinn into the win last year. Across the board High School, College, All-Star it happens almost every time unless that team flubs it in finals. Not here to change minds that hardly ever happens in these situations. Just my humble opinion of course, I win the pot every year though.😊

Oh, what in the Tony Awards is this? LSU was FLAWLESS.
  • this dance was the most powerful thing I ever seen literally this touches me every time
  • HOLY COW. THEY GIVE ME CHILLS EVERYTIME!! I HAVE A DREAM OF BEING ON THIS TEAM! I’m working sooo hard! Trying to challenge myself! I met some of these girls on the team and they are so nice!

I think there’s something poetic about dancing to ‘My Way’ and forgoing the usual “lots of tumbles” to create impact. It was a risk that clearly paid off

This was good. I think it won over Minnesota because of the use of props, which added to the difficulty. There were a few sync issues, small ones. For me, I liked Minnesota just slightly better as it felt a bit more emotionally charged and there were moment in the synchronization that made me gasp.
