Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins “Turning Red" is streaming exclusively on Disney+ now.

This might be a small detail but I like how they include the boys in scenes of students going crazy over how adorable the red panda is.

I love everything about this movie, from the panda to 4town.. EVERYTHING.
  • Stacy is the coolest character in this movie. She the first one to discover Mei as a panda, and she show no jealousy. And kept her secret.
  • Loved how supportive Mei's friends were as she used her panda form for good. Mei's female relatives call it an inconvenience, she calls it a gift, & so do the rest of us. Hope they can learn from that on a future sequel

If 4*Town was actually an irl band. We would be listening to this all night because of how catchy their music are. The confidence booster music, Romance music and the Main music everyone loves. Disney will always have the best songs

I love this part of the movie so much, when Abby doesn't let Tyler buy their stuff is just lol 😂💕. Glad they became friends by the end. Also, I know some people think Mei is being spoiled when she gets angry at her mother for not letting her go to the concert (and of course that includes not buying the $200 ticket). But I don't see it like that. Instead of being just angry at their parents these girls had initiative, I mean they looked for ways to earn money with their effort, and even if it all started with Mei just showing her panda, then they also created merchandise and stuff. So I think it's awesome that kids show this kind of decisiveness.

Four months later and I’m still waiting on 4Town to drop their full album.
  • In all honesty these 4 girls pulled quite the hustle for this and for being 13 that’s impressive as hell

I loved how supportive the friends were. In the scene where they were all dancing together, while mei-mei was alternating between her human and panda form. They continued dancing with her. Is so sweet

The representation of different body types & ethnicities in this movie makes me sooo happy🥺

Even though they are a fictitious band, I can't resist moving my head and body. The music from 4*Town is not only great music but extremely catchy and danceable!!

I love the way Mei, Miriam, Priya and Abby work together to achieve their goals and get tasks done! They each bring something different to the table: . Mei's determination . Miriam's wisdom and kindness . Priya's love and care . Abby's support and defense

    “you know whats sus yeah”
  • If Pixar doesn’t capitalize on 4Town, they’re crazy. The possibilities of the band and the songs are endless.
