  • "Zuko you must look within yourself to save yourself from your other self. Only then will your true self reveal itself." Zuko impersonating Iroh while telling insider infos about Frierens dungeon. Damn forshadowing across series

It makes sense for Frieren to open every chest that test as a mimic. She seems fairly resistant to mimic bites, she can get out of them on her own, and she lives long enough to find hundreds of chests that test as mimics. There's very little cost to roll every 1% chance she sees, when she knows she will see so many of these chances.
  • Frieren getting stuck in mimic chests will never not be unironically hilarious

Himmel being the quintessential JRPG player will always make me laugh. It's just a funny idea for the in-universe protagonist to have the exact mindset of the person that would be playing them in a game. And it makes him more relatable because I have played WAY too many hours of JRPGs

Fun fact: Ton the green robe guy in the begining rushing in alone saying that cooperation might be undermined by taking advantage of others has the voice actor of the MC in Solo Leveling.
  • @James--Parker
Clearing the dungeon is also a public service. It has a lot of historical value and a lot of people have already been killed trying to do it. So the danger Sense put them in is not without good reason. That plus the escape Gollems makes this test a thousand times better then the first.
  • here we go, the score when Frieren's replica appears is absolutely amazing, the only thing missing is an HP bar for that to be a Dark Souls boss, gotta love the king's tomb, Sense knows whatsup.
  • Seriously don't get how u don't have a lot more subs. You give literally the best commentary easily out of any reaction channel on YouTube. It's gotta be a matter of time before your channel blows up I would hope
  • @James--Parker
12:53 Lol In the dub he said something along the lines of "I wasn't expecting such handsome opponents"
  • Fun fact: trying to type out this comment caused my YouTube to crash, anyway as to what I was gonna say, frieren strengthens her body with mana like she did with that one demon mage so she doesn't die to the mimics so they are in fact "dangerous" in quotes because I doubt many people fall for them save frieren lol
  • You said that the replicas not talking might be an advantage, but I'm not sure for which side. After all, when our mages take a break from fighting for the mandatory collegial discussion of magic, the replicas could get the drop on them.
  • 4:58 🥹 her glee about the Cute Boy is so charming. I mean, imagine how hard it would be to impress an immortal. 🥰 Good Grief, good thing he didn’t see that smile, it might have killed him. *I’m dead 😵
  • Sweet i was like just thinking about how i wanted to watch your reaction to this episode lol
  • @nexuskld
So kinda like Denken said, it's not that the copies are any weaker, it's just that you have other people to fight with you. I wouldn't be able to beat myself in a fight, but my friend probably could.

3:25 Been DMing/playing tabletop Dungeons and Dragons going on 30+ years now, as well as the hundreds of CRPGs/JRPGs, etc. One of the etched-in-stone rules for any PC worth their salt is: "Left is Always Right."
  • @trickster721
It's true, right is the direction of progress in games, like in Mario. There are even games that play off this idea, like Braid, or Night in the Woods.

for me, I've always drawn. I wasn't good at it naturally or anything, I just accumulated skill, and eventually got good. so, my passion was always there, not because I was proficient at it, but rather, I simply kept doing it because I enjoyed it. I've come to view it as my purpose, as it's what I love, enjoy, and have become good at. I suppose in that way, Fern is my opposite. for her, it was never about the passion, it was that she was naturally proficient, and learning how to do it well was the endgoal. for me, there's no endgoal, and I just enjoy the process.
  • @F3RG
I bet Frieren would be interested in the spell for those everlasting burning candles in that dungeon
  • @ellie7252
I love exploring a good dungeon. FF1 is super fun for that. I love going the wrong way so I can find everything.
  • Speaking about the fun of completing dungeons, you should watch Dungeon Meshi, it's very fun, it has alot of well-written characters, world building, delicious food and more!
