why not a life sentence? this woman family is serving a life sentence without her.

17 years?! That's all!? No justice!!!

The justice system is seriously flawed. They tried to give me 35 years for drugs I didn’t have. This guy got 17 for murder. Wow!

The judge had the nerve to say EGREGIOUS!!! Yet sentence him to only 17yrs. Then the mom of the killer had the nerve to say "the woman he will forever love" no ma'am that ain't love, killing is not love, abuse is not love!!! So much wrong in this case. My heart hurts for the mother of the young woman killed. Those are his victims.

This case of domestic violence is utterly appalling; he only received a 17-year sentence for taking someone's life. It's disgraceful.

He shows no remorse at all. He should have gotten and Life Sentence without parole.

That judge was supposed to be sentenced to 17yrs and then put a real judge to sentence this coward to life in prison.

17 years?????? My cousin did 20 years straight for attempted murder. He was released after serving his time and immediately deported. This dude MURDERED this woman, ran her over to make sure she was dead and gets 17 years???! He was supposed to get a minimum of 25 years TO LIFE!!!! this is not justice. He's 23 now. He'll be released BEFORE he's 40 with time served. And will go out and start a new family and live his life. But mommy is gone and her families' lives is destroyed forever. This isn't justice to me

17 years but he could get out as soon as 11 if this murderer "behaves" in prison? That's a slap in the face to the family and the idea of justice in general.

When you kill someone with the intention you should never have a chance to come out. What a joke taking a life and your punishment is 17 years in prison and free back to society!

17 years for murdering the mother of his kids? Did I miss something? He must have had a great lawyer. I honestly don’t understand why his mother was allowed to talk in this case. Most of the time the family members of the perpetrators of these crimes have nothing to offer other than victimization for their family

Anytime you kill somebody’s daughter you have to expect her family to be hostile. You don’t get the right to be hostile when your family was the victimizer and got sentenced that’s the ultimate form of narcissism. I feel bad for this mother ❤
