Durenamel is a very hard decorative epoxy enamel that is commonly used for making jewelry, making it an excellent alternative to colored ceramics. This is especially useful in making inlays, cloisonnes and class rings.

It is also used to create hard, durable repairs to porcelain coated appliances and bathtubs.

Durenamel is rated 60-75 on the Sward hardness scale. This hardness is very similar to porcelain, which is rated 65-80 on the Sward hardness scale.

Durenamel is an excellent, non-hazmat alternative to Ceramit, which is no longer readily available.
