She is the baddest woman gardener on YouTube period. Girl I watch you for no reason! But let me tell you this I have a herb garden now! Good idols!
  • Just thought I would let you know that your helpful video helped inspire me to dig up a portion of my lawn to make room for a raised bed (Mother's Day gift from my children). In addition, I used the nice pieces of sod to fill in an area I was thinking about reseeding. It took me many hours and a lot of aching muscles, but I got it done. It worked just as you showed. Thanks for making this video. It really helped show me I could do it too. My husband also now has jumped in and the very next day, placed my new raised bed in it's spot. Just dirt now and away we go...
  • I'm watching this 6 yrs later when it czme up on my Google search result.. I only found your channel 2 yrs ago and am now a dedicated fan! You haven't changed a bit, through 2 children a so many other changes. Love it all!!

YouTubers take note, no chatting into the camera for minutes and minutes, just a brief explanation and then a clear demonstration. Nice video.

the fact that you garden with your hair down will forever amaze me.
  • You never look like a mess in your videos! I was actually glad to see you with some dirt on your clothes! I keep watching your channel and wondering how you manage to look so good doing all this yard work. I tend to be covered in dirt and plant matter and sweat!

What good timing! I have been plotting some areas of my yard that I want to turn into flower beds and seeing this in action makes it seem like an easier task than I was anticipating.

The downfall about placing plants in any location in or near utility boxes, is that at any point in time, any and all utility companies can come and dig up that location WITHOUT approval.
  • Can't wait to see what you plant and how it'll look like in the end. I would love to see a whole front yard re-do or something. My parents have been struggling with their front yard for years. They want something pretty but also low meaintenance and they don't want to do grass.

You don't look like a mess! You look beautiful! I am happiest when full of dirt, too. โ˜บ๏ธ

I've been pickaxing my lawn for days. Thanks for this video.
  • @samabizzle
Thanks. I was just about to start digging up my lawn with a garden fork, good thing I watched this first! ๐Ÿ˜†
  • You seem like such a sweet lady! My son and I are working on uplifting sod...but we've been doing it with a shovel, which works but that little shovel you used looks like it would be easier to make the cuts into the grass/dirt. Am going to Home Depot tomorrow to see if I can find a couple of those! Thank you for this insight...you've been most helpful! ๐Ÿ˜‡
