Pikmin may not follow the captain in the water, but they definitely follow either if you are riding Oatchi or if Oatchi is in your group.
  • @3D-B0Y
Not many people know this Pikmin 4 trivia but Gunnadahun is currentley holding my family hostage
  • The withering blowhog just slowly backing away without taking eyes off the pikmin when he realizes his only attack is nullified is too funny
  • @wef6146
You can crush and kill rock Pikmin with any regular enemy if the floor underneath them is hard (Concrete, Tile, etc.) Olimar even mentions this in his notes.

Ice Pikmin usually float on water/bottomless mud. But if they get hit by while in this state, they start to flail around and drown. If you whistle them, they go back to floating
  • @flamsey
So its basically literally how it worked with Quaggled Mireclops, since Rocks drown in the puddles lol
  • I am so glad Pikmin are no longer suicidal, especially around water. Not only do they swim towards land, they don't even follow you into water. They really perfected the AI in Pikmin 4 imo!
  • @C_XVR
Purple pikmin have a hidden stat to where latching onto an enemy (instead of ground pounding them) after being thrown counts as ground pounding which deals extra damage, so if you spam throw purple pikmin onto an enemy, they die much faster than using reds
  • @valiruko
fun fact (and this is a REALLY rare case that you would need to use this, but im saying it anyways) imagine you have an elevated platform, with some unplucked pikmin on it. (i would recommend using the below grade discoteque floor 3 for this, as it has a winged candypop bud on an eleveted platform) if you rush into the side of the elevated platform with oatchi, it can pluck the pikmin. it is a really obscure fact that i had no idea you could do until today
  • Am I the only one who thinks the Bulbears “fail” animation is them going like, “Aw rats I missed em”
  • @ich8871
i love how bulbears stomp their feet in anger when you leave their range (7:26)
  • @NinjaGam3r080
Did you know that Pikmin 5 is actually VERY close to completion?
  • @kcool4048
If you fall into a bottomless as Oatchi with pikmin on you they won’t die, but if you fall with the captain all the pikmin following you die
  • @gunnadahun
Best comment of random Pikmin Trivia will get pinned :_president:
  • A moment of silence for all of the pikmin that died to test these myths.
  • When you jump a top of a closed cave entrance as it opens, it will flung you out of oatchi, and also knock him back along with your pikmin. Also a myth: rock pikmin can be crushed...if the surface they're crushed at isnt a soft surface, like cement, rock, etc.
  • @thinkmin2584
You can pluck pikmin by rushing a wall near them. This can be seen best with the Winged candy pop bud in the Below Grade Discotheque on the third sublevel
  • @Vivvyboy
Louie mentions in a treasure log that his grandma used to sing him lullabies (sm64 music box) and probably more known is that oatchi grins when in a certain range/view of Moss (fightable version)
  • @SuperiorBeing
Little known fact: Pikmin4 is and will be the best Pikmin game for a long time
  • You forgot to mention the fact that crushing can kill Rock Pikmin if they're on hard surfaces.
