After knocking out 509 Pokémon do I have to KO the BRILLIANT Pokémon that spawn or just encounter them and run away

I have a question ,if I don't have the 500 kills of the certain pokemon and I need to kill more I can kill brilliant or only kill normal ones?

Question. If I leave the game would the chances of a brilliant Pokémon to spawn reset ? I follow the method correct but I took a break and the next day I have a lack of encounter a brilliant Pokémon.

So I have a question and idk if someone stated it before or not but do I have to run into every brilliant aura pokemon even if it’s not the Pokémon I want a shiny with? Or just specifically the brilliant aura Pokémon I want a shiny for ? I’ve been trying to get shiny Nicket on and off for over a week now I’ve battled over 800 of them 😩

I got shiny rookadee with the out dated method (so I thought) but I guess it was full odds!

Man I'm super late to this but I was curious..lets say im hunting Chewtle. once I hit the hard cap of 3.08% brilliant spawn chance at 100 knock-outs, does that only apply as I'm chaining knocking out Chewtle, or will every Chewtle in the game that spawns from now on always have that 3.08% chance to spawn brilliant? Thank you!

I would appreciate an answer to this, but I understands if no one bothers answering it. Does catching the Pokemon have the same effect as knocking it out?

So I have a question, do you need to target one Pokémon and only battle that single Pokémon or knockout all encounters altogether?

So there is no need for ko chaining (ko the same pokemon in a row) the pokemon you want ?

The KO method is horrendous. I started hunting Frosmoth in Dec 2020. Got it to 500KOd and had the shiny charm. Since the new data was found that it only applies to brilliant mons, I've been checking them exclusively. In nearly two years of off and on hunting, I still haven't found a shiny yet after thousands and thousands of encounters over the course of the hunt. It wouldn't be so bad if this method wasn't so painfully boring. At least with SOS or horde battles, those were engaging and fun.

Hmm... So, for clarity, when chain battling, say I'm going for Rookidee, i battle that up to 500 times and then just walk about to get the one with ✨brilliant✨ aura because those are the ones that are affected by the increased shiny odds of the higher chain of battles?

I’m super late to this party so idk if I’ll get an answer but it’s worth a shot. I dusted off my switch to try and get back into SwSh shiny hunting. Back when I played there was also info circulating that 25+ consecutive KOs of the same species was necessary to max out shiny odds. Is that debunked, or what does the chain KO modifier actually do if it IS a thing? Thanks in advance to anybody who can inform me.

I really hope this video still applies right now... im hoping to get a shiny Duraludon before the Indigo Disk comes out (even thought it probably wont happen) i still want to try and i need something to do while waiting for the Indigo Disk to release
