About that shiny Squirtle despawning and respawning, I think there's actually a very small range between visual loading range and full ACTUAL loading range. Like maybe just a few character steps distance. Not exactly with shinies, but I've seen pokemon disappear at long range but still be there when I move closer after NOT going further away. Like if you're full on flying on the game mount, go so far it despawns, there's no way you can turn around it still be there because you're going way too far. But if you're standing there, a pokemon leaves visual range at a slow pace, then when you move closer it should still be there.

Toast is built different. That foongus is practically an atom in that biome. Like a literal grain of sand. lol.

The squirtle was more than likely a daily spawn, there are a few innocuous and down right strange ones sprinkled into each area of the game. Same concept as the 3 static spiritomb, the wild tera pokemkn or even the lone pawmi that spawns by the cliff on the first route. Had a shiny pikachu spawn for me south of Cortondo right before a crash, had to trek back through there as I was on my way to the psychic town and happened upon the same shiny. To confirm that it was the same one, I decided to reset over it after noting its stats and rushed back over to see that it was there again. These pokemon are specially coded to respawn with the same pid that was generated at midnight of the same day. (obviously taken off the table when KO'd)

Hey Catherine, I was playing Hide and Seek with a friend a few days ago and used fast travel to go somewhere. As I turn around I just see a Shiny Scrafty on the top of a hill. It was hilarious XD

So glad we get another one of these, with more on the way! The Matt/Kotatsu double shiny Elekid strat was both devious and hilarious, and as a fan of subtle shinies, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
