It was noted that, when Fire Town was established, all water pipes were shut down. Therefore, the shop doesn't need up-to-code pipes. In fact, the City should be responsible for enforcing the removal of the pipes and sealing the leak.

i'm not even sure if this is a result of bad writing or this is what writters actually had in mind, because this theory works so well it's scary

Honestly, I agree. Wade kinda only says the right things at the right time. Crashing her celebration was selfish

Honestly, the idea that wade could be secretly a bad person makes this movie more interesting, like the idea that the movie was suppose to be a romance movie turns into a toxic relationship and subverting the views expectation of what they were expecting is more interesting then the movie we got.

one thing i hate about water guy is how he tells her to quits his job, even though she always wanted her job
  • @Chiwowza
I always thought it was really pushy and bizarre for him to show up unannounced to her ceremony, proclaim his love for her in front of everyone, and then pressure her to admit she loves him back. He's never met anyone in her family or community besides her mom and has no idea what the ramifications for her could be. He's clearly aware of societal prejudice yet never considers that her family could not only refuse to give her the shop, but outright disown her. Regardless of whether she truly wanted to own the shop, it struck me as insanely manipulative of him to ruin it for her

alright so how about we discuss an important part. Wade litterally got thrown into a random girl's family basement and immediately started writing a health inspector ticket for the plumbing, and runs off despite ember trying to explain. but when wade puts his ticket through the pipe, and ember breaks down and cries, he says "wELl WhY dIDnT yOu sAY sO?" like bro what?? she did try and explain??
  • missed opportunity to make wade the nice looking water guy the vilain, and maybe one of his siblings picks up on that and actually helps amber and so she stops seeing wade and wade shows his true colors
  • @humbleebumblee
wow that detail of his face looking disappointed then quickly putting on a facade after the phone call bit was very nicely caught!

If they made him a twist villain this would probably be the first good Disney twist villain in years
  • @stormostormo9465
Personally I think this is just a case of the writers not knowing how to portray what they were trying to portray properly so it came across as manipulative whenever they meant for him to be genuine Not that I don't like a good dark theory
  • @probably_creek
i always felt kinda weird about the way wade acted and this actually helped me connect the dots. he is straight up manipulative and i wish the writers went with that, and had him be a twist villain or something. it wouldnt align totally with "disney values" or the whole message theyre trying (and failing) to send with this film but it would make more sense and feel better.

Gaslighting is also a pun~ Ya know because of the fire/cooking thing? o3o
  • Thereā€™s always been something kinda off about Wade. How he just randomly shows up at the perfect times, and heā€™s just really odd in general to me.
  • @avadominguez5200
I donā€™t see him as this innocent guy anymore but a threat, holy crap he doesnā€™t even look the same anymore, this is how people fall for bad people and we didnā€™t even resize were supporting it
  • @user-jp4oi1xm8h
I formulated this theory when I watched it for the first time I was like ā€œyou Idiot he just told your entire family about how you were touching eachother and now your gonna be forced to live with him or your life is ruinedā€
  • @Dab-studios
Elemental: a sweet movie about peace between all races (at the end I think?) Theroists: NAH ITS TIME WE GET TO THEORISING NOW MANIPULATION IS IN THE MOVIE Disney and Pixar: here we go again
  • @lunamoona4920
This just shows how much this movie needed better writing
  • @Ariste_
When i saw the title i was like yeah yeah everything has a stupid secret meaning nowadays. But this one works so well i mean terrifyingly well. It actually might be intended.
