  • Don`t forget Spain has being robbed many times. For example, WC 1934 versus Italy; WC 2002 versus Corea. The final versus France in 1984 was also robbery, with a non existent foul for Platini`s free kick. Spain was better than that great French team. You can watch the game on You Tube.

We cannot underestimate what a legend Luis Aragones was, and how loved by players.

As a Culer I have to say talking about the Golden Generation without mentioning San Iker is criminal.
  • @sld1776
The 1964 Euros was not a four team tournament. The format was home-and-away elimination. 29 teams participated.

Bro why did you not talk about the wingbacks. They are amazing. Cucurella is basically everywhere on the left side of the pitch and his decision making is almost flawless. Carvajal can also attack, kinda, and his defending can be miraculous. When it looks like the other team is about to score, suddenly Carvajal pulls off some insane shit and he saves the game

My son is Spanish, I am German and I told him yesterday, it's like in Politics, one Empire dooms, another rise. Italy and Germany decline, France and Spain will dominate for decades over several Generations. SO enjoy it, you had enough to suffer, when we had our golden time, as long as we can keep the World Cup in Europe I am fine with it, but there will come new Teams at least the USA, with their growing Latino base, will become an aspirant of the title and well, I'm waiting for Africa, for them the title could be a signal for the whole continent and I really would like that to see in my lifetime. In short, I am not scared, just do it and win titles Spain.

Absolute pleasure to see Spain back to their best. They are just a joy to watch.
  • @luissolano4905
You forgot Busquets and Xabi Alonso, two key players in that team

Should have mentioned euro 2020 semifinals and nations league championship. As a mark of success for spain. They are consistent since last 4-5 years 2013 to 2018 was their rough period.
  • @ompatel3588
if spanish player gets more exprience they will win fifa world cup in 2026 or 2030
  • @perrymanso6841
What nobody is noticing is what is being cooked in La MasĂa right now, unless injuries come in the way, Spain can be insane in 5-6 years...
  • And the Spanish fans are Madrid fanboys that don’t care about Spain, if their players aren’t on the squad. Kross injured Pedri and all they cared about was how it was kross last game. They literally cheered for a Madrid player that scored on there international team. Bunch of 🤡🤡
  • Iker, Ramos, PUYOL, need more credit. Morata is underrated (currently the 4rd maximum scorer in spain's history), etc.
  • @yoprankster4842
i get that ur a barca fan but naming Cubarsi over Carvajal, Nacho, cucurella, and Fabian Ruiz is down right disrespectful considering Cubarsi isnt even playing in these Euros

Very good consice analysis of Spanish football history. A good place to start if you are young and want to find out more about it. I remember "La furia" days and they were horrible, very basic. I watched Spain play live twice in the 1978 world cup! From the mid 80's onwards they started to pick up. They had some very good players and teams but not enough to win anything. Then the tiki-taka era was sublime. Now this shift in identity feels like a new dawn, an inteligente move. I think the difference is that now they have belief, and legendary performances like that one against Germany in this euros, will instil more belief into the future generations. A truly remarcable footbal history. But Argentina is better though.🙂
