One of the most underrated games I've played: Oddworld Soulstorm pt 1

If you're entranced by the creature designs and worlds full of monsters, be sure to look into the Oddworld series as a whole. Started out on the PS1 with Abe's Oddyssee, got a sequel in Abe's Exoddus, then came Munch's Oddyssee and Stranger's Wrath. Zeno Clash is very good for a fascinating world full of monsters as well. That one is more combat-oriented than Oddworld generally is and has a different but no less intriguing flavor of weirdness. It had a prequel in 2023 called Clash: Artifacts of Chaos. Both series are ones that people remember super fondly for the art, the world, the characters and leaves people wanting more, but they're also quite niche. Makes it hard for both Zeno Clash and Oddworld to really be profitable enough to come out regularly.

this entire game is just a miniscule fraction of the larger oddworld series lore, theres is so much to this series, and its development deserves far more focus... but its under the wrong publishers control for that... they dont give half a shit about this old classic and top tier series... its fans are old... it deserved a better fate than a final gasp reciving a mixed critic score....
