Maligne Canyon Day Hike - Jasper National Park

One of the premier canyons in the Canadian Rockies. Not to be missed if you are in the area. The hike is 1-5 km with 50-100 meters of elevation gain. The trail is rated easy to moderate depending on how far you go. From downtown Jasper, drive north and turn onto highway 16. Follow the signs to Maligne Lake. Take the bridge that crosses the Athabasca River, and stay left for about 6 km, or 3.7 miles, and turn left into the Maligne Canyon Parking Lot.

So, it's sorta Jasper's version of Johnston Canyon? We're heading up there after Labour Day and this one will certainly be on the "to do" list. Great little video.
