Iran has made its first arrests in connection with the assassination of Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh, detaining two dozen suspects, including senior Iranian intelligence officers and military officials. The arrests follow fears of a significant security breach that allowed the assassination to occur. Iran has overhauled security protocols for senior officials and is conducting extensive investigations, including interrogating military and intelligence officials and scrutinizing Tehran’s airports. Iran's Supreme Leader has ordered a retaliatory strike against Israel.
