"The people who fuss over small errors or strongly react to small problems are usually lonely and unloved"
    I wonder why

Don’t do the command vs choice thing, people will pick up on it and it will make them hate you. Speaking from experience.

A long time ago, I got locked up and while in jail, I’d swear I felt my phone vibrating, but obviously it wasn’t. It was crazy.

I'm a sous chef and I have about a dozen people working in my kitchen and I have found that I always have the most success getting people to do what I want when I offer them choices that include what I want them to do and what I know they don't actually want to do. If I need the walls scrubbed down I will approach someone and ask if they would like to clean the grease pits or the walls and they always choose the walls.

In the UK "phantom vibrations" is called "Nokia leg".

Truly, I live by the idea of giving a choice rather than a command. I have been a nanny for 20 years and dealing with toddlers for 2 decades has taught me to use this rule.

The first trick! It works. I didn't know why or how. But I use this trick almost all the time on the kid I tutor and it works like a charm! There is no choice in it but I always ask the kid if they wanna read/learn/write the first line or the second one first and, they are exited to do it if they have more choices. The kid knows and has told me that I am not really letting them choose, but it still worksπŸ˜ƒ
