1950s Commercials Vintage Commercials Continued

Sugar Smacks Commercial
This is really neat. A cereal commercial featuring Superman (Clark Kent) from Adventures of Superman from the 1950s.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventures_of_Superman_%28TV…

Casey Kasem also makes an appearance as the clown character at the end.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casey_Kasem

VO5 Hair Spray commercial
A commercial for hair spray featuring a teenage girl.

Budweiser commercial
A relaxing commercial featuring an attractive woman on a beach with music. She of course drinks Budweiser.

Sunbeam Bread Commercial
A commercial for bread. Not sure whatever happened to this brand.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunbeam_Bread

E-Z Pop Popcorn commercial
A commercial featuring cool cat background music. Who would have ever thought that a popcorn commercial could be so jammin'?

Paper Mate Pen Commercial
A commercial featuring animated pig characters advertising paper mate pens. Mel Blanc can be heard as one of the pig characters.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_Mate

Scottie Tissue Commercial
A boring commercial featuring scottie tissues. There's not much you can do to make these things exciting, I guess. This must have been the first time they promoted the "magic oval" feature. Something that is probably on all brands now.

Milk-bone Dog Biscuits Commercial
A commercial featuring dog snacks called milk-bone dog biscuits.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk-Bone

  • I like how creative each commercial is, which is what modern ones lack

    I love old 50,s commercials , it's better than today's crappy commercials ! 👍😀
  • It’s funny how they make these products so interesting with the commercials. Like with the pen, they made it seem so revolutionary which it probably was back then when today it wouldn’t be seen as a big deal.

I used to use my sister's VO5 hair spray as an all-purpose glue. Thank you Vy-tral-D!

I guarantee you today that clown on the cereal box from the '50s would be absolutely terrifying.
  • @djryken
It seems many of these products are beyond trivial today, but for the time I expect they would have been exceptional
  • @larry1824
I buy DVDs of them and they often bring tears.

These commercials are so much better than the crap today. Half of the time I don't even know what they're selling.

My favorite was EZ Pop Popcorn. Also, 70 years later, I am binge watching 50s’ clips and ours suck compared to this
  • @LVCE.
Actually interesting commercials that aren’t stupid and annoying
  • I don't like beer. but that Budweiser ad almost convinced me to try a can LOL
