This was the beauty of pro wrestling before soc med. Kayfabe was a wonderful thing. This exact example he said was about matt, edge and lita. I didnt know their storyline was a legit real life issue and matt and edge were sneaking in real shots during their matches and segments.

He's right. I'm trying to be objective as possible but wrestling is like comic book heroes come to life fighting. And you can go see it live. They're real people that play characters. I don't watch a whole lot of anime but I think anime and wrestling have a lot in common. And wrestling has evolved so much. There's wrestling on trains, companies where it's only women. There's serious technical wrestling, there's comedy wrestling. People think wrestling is JUST WWE. I'm glad pro wrestling as a whole is growing so people can understand it's so much more than "2 oiled up muscle guys play fighting in underwear"

For all you people saying "but sports don't have a predetermined outcome".... Really?? You don't think there's ANYONE who has enough power to know who wins the world series? I'm not convinced. That's like saying that the results of an election isn't predetermined.

So 11 hours… Raw+Smackdown+Dynamite+Rampage + what else does he watch??? I’m so curious now

It’s literally weekly theatre about a wrestling show, with Actors/Stuntmen telling a story. It isn’t a sport, the only thing close to it could be gymnastics or dance, but the athleticism and choreography can be hypnotising. One of those things I never thought I’d love, but it just grabs you one day, through a promo or a match, and that’s it. Same as Conor did for me in UFC.

rick gets it. joe rogan can’t comprehend this because he’s tied to a sports industry that is just as rigged/ scripted as pro wrestling but not widely talked about 😂
