RDR 2 came out in 2018 and still is the most beautiful nature environment i've ever seen on a videogame
  • @grilledspy
I'm shocked you didn't include Ryse: Son of Rome. It came out in 2013 as a launch title for the Xbox One, and it's visuals are absolutely GORGEOUS. It matches up with a lot of modern games, still

As someone that played FFXV since base release, I love to see it get it’s recognition and be top numbered, although dev plans didn’t go 100% the game most definitely had a gorgeous rpg world, and likely has one of the best FF chocobo riding features

A bonus. Battlefield 1 was an absolute gorgeous looking fps I ever seen and still looks insanely aged well to these days.
  • @Brownie_Earthquake
The Order 1886, and Until Dawn both PS4 exclusives that were released in 2015 still have amazing graphics. Those games looked great at the time of their release and were the best looking games that I had played back then. You really should make a part 2 to this list and include these games.
  • Man time moves quick once you’re in your 30’s. Feels like just last month I was racing home from work to play Final Fantasy 15 but that was 7 years ago?! Damn…
  • @isurupradeepa
Uncharted 4 deserves at least an honorable mention. I played it for the first time last month on PS5 and couldn't believe it came out in 2016.
  • To me, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (2015) looks absolutely stunning to this day, and the FOX engine is so incredibly optimized.
  • @MagmaTGM
I’m surprised Star Wars battlefront 2015 isn’t on here, I still go on it and admire its beauty
  • @ivonbeton4725
How is RDR2 not on this list? Probably one of the most visually stunning games I have played and it came out in within the same time frame as some of these games.
  • @dizzyishere999
The most insane part about Batman Arkham Knight is that it was made using unreal engine 3! Think about that for a minute. That's seriously impressive. Well done Rocksteady.
  • @Steel-101
Yeah Arkham Knight is legendary. What amazes me still is the Bat-Mobile. How it can destroy a lot of things in the city & the speed of the car is fantastic. Really feels like a movie.
  • DriveClub deserves A LOT more love than it gets - and a place on this list. It came out in 2013, a PS4-only release, but the graphics STILL look pretty damn good. At the very least, comparable to just about any driving sim released since (on console, at least). Honorable mentions to Euro Truck Simulator 2 & American Truck Simulator, which came out at about the same time DC did. The amount of detail they (SCS Software, a Czech-based company) put into the trucks you drive, and the sounds & sights in the game, is amazing.

I’m playing AC4 Black Flag and it still holds up pretty well today. The water is beautiful, ship battles, and the foliage moving when your stealth still impresses me for a game that old. Another honorable mention is Rise of the Tomb Raider from 2015. I still have screen shots on my Xbox from the game that I took because it looked so impressive. And I remember how snow would melt off of your jacket when you walked into warmer environments.
  • @tablegore6898
All these games are still pretty new to me. Time goes by so fast i can't even...
  • @joeltrowe5155
Uncharted 4 is also a great example. It came out 2016, and to me is like it was yesterday.
  • @solar901
We're at the point where it doesn't matter that much when the game was released, but rather how good the artists were and how much effort they put into the game.

Take a drink every time Falcon says “to be frank”. Double up if it’s during an Assassin’s Creed segment. You’re welcome
