"I promise I won't get political!" Four drinks later:
  • I know Charles is a terrible father, BUT DAMN HE GIVES THE HYPE WHEN “ALL HAIL BRITANNIA” CAME OUT OF HIS MOUTH LIKE HE MEANS IT-

I think my favorite thing about this show, is how deep nationalism runs in the characters. Just how attached people are to their countries, and places of origin.

I love this turnaround soo much! In the first season you would only hear ''All Hail Britannia'' all the way and everyone, with exception of some Black Knight members referred to Area 11 and Elevens. But now, after a lot of effort and build up and no longer hiding in the underground, the Japanese finally have a voice to demonstrate their pride and willingness to fight for the liberation of Japan against the highly unrealistically powerful Britannia. I'm not Japanese, but this truly touches me!!!

Is it ok to scream both All Hail Britannia and Nippon Banzai everytime I see a Chinese person?
  • Man, when I hear this, I don't know who to side with. Both are so epic so I'll just say, ALL HAIL BRITANNIA & NIPPON BANZI!
  • -Britannian Empire: ALL HAIL BRITANNIA!!!!!!! -Eleven/Japan: NIPPON BANZAI!!!!!!!!!! -Germany/HYDRA: HAIL HYDRA!!!!!!!!!! -Nicaragua/Cordis Die: CORDIS DIE!!!!!!!!!! -Wakanda: WAKANDA FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

It’s been a long time since I watched Code Geass, but rewatching this clip it kinda shows a glimpse of the madness of nationalism and retribution that Lelouch, Suzaku, Nunnally and some other characters stayed neutral from the beginning or had to undergo character development to balance their worldviews. Lelouch fought not for Japan, but for a peaceful world that Nunnally can enjoy without being the threat of war. Suzaku fought to protect as many innocent lives as he can by making him the shield in battle. Nunnally fought with Scheneizel and the Black Knights against Lelouch and became Empress of Brittania to fight for honesty and dialogue. Meanwhile most of the other characters like the Brittanians, Black Knights and the Japanese were so convinced that their “side” is justice, their scream “All hail Brittania” and “Nippon Banzai”, but they often blindly believed the “us vs them”. What do you guys think?

I nearly jizzed at this scene. The amount of epicness is only matched the sheer awesomeness of this scene. ALL HAIL CODE GEASS!
