20 mins where England was ruled by another Queen

If Freddie Mercury were still alive I believe he would tell Rami, “absolutely stunning job darling”
  • @martyp3499
Only Freddie can practice his vocal pitch and get 80,000 people to sing along. One of one. There will never be another Freddie

No one can doubt why an Oscar was won for Malek's performance. Pure talent and genius.

The actor of Brian May looks more like Brian May than Brian May
  • This is 18 minutes of perfectly choreographed physical acting. Not just Rami, but all four of them. Even when the actor is not the focus of the shot and just in the background, they are still in lock-step the original. Just so so good.

5:35 the way the massive audience just copies everything he does just gives me chills. Amazing
  • @btminzon
I imagine how many times the actor watched the original, in order to copy EXACTLY the same movements, at the same time. More than deserved Oscar!

A random singer: cancells concert for a cold Freddie Mercury: makes one of the best shows ever while slowly dying from aids

I watched this live on the day, and I knew then it was probably the greatest live performance there had ever been. Now, nearly forty years later, it still is. You will never see anyone put more into a 20 minute guest spot in the middle of a hot July day than Freddie did that day. He was the best, and much missed.

If Freddie were alive today there would not be an arena large enough to hold his fans

its fascinating how Rami was able to act out every action Freddie did, just proving what a great actor Rami is

Seeing it like this, you can really appreciate the attention to detail. Not just the actor mirroring the moves, but the couple of times when the cameras are following and it matches what's on the right because you're seeing it on TV. That is how you know you have people that know what they're doing.

The Fact the Movie also did the entire 20min concert with out cuts is also a unique experience.

i Watched this live when (on tv) when i was a kid it, the whole thng was 5miles from my house and i could stand in my back garden and hear it. For some reason Queen made me cry then and it does now when I watch it. the fucking power and the clival pull of them was amazing
