Vaseline | Original Healing Jelly | 13 Ounce (Pk 3) | Provides Dry Skin Relief & Protects Minor Cuts

I used this for healing purposes on not my facial region, on my cuticle area since it was something that a lot of people in the amazon reviews said did well for moisturizing their elbows or knees (very easily and most commonly dryer parts of the body)

since I did read some articles seeing some people have used this to help the healing process for their cuticle infection wounds I thought I would try it as well and surprisingly the swelling has gone down a lot and faster than when using antibiotic ointment to cover my small wounds.

I find that the antibiotic ointment somehow made the wounds swell with serous (healing) fluid more, rather than getting it to drain out at swell less.

Maybe it's because there's not much else in this jelly besides the basic ingredients and maybe that's all I needed to give my cuticle beds a good healing treatment but honestly, after reading how using alcohol and hydrogen peroxide is actually worse for your healing process when it comes to first aid wounds like this, I wanted to try an alternative route and that's why i decided to give this product a shot.

utilizing this as a lip balm or moisturizer is not the goal and personally for me never works. This is also Petrolatum and not petroleum

Google: "The main difference between petroleum jelly and petrolatum is their purity level. Petroleum jelly is a mixture of semi-solid hydrocarbons that may contain some impurities, while petrolatum is a purified form of petroleum jelly that is free of impurities."

this product honestly has shown some quick results that I was not able to get from other products that were suggested for use in aiding the healing process for my specific circumstances, so I am surprised. It won't work for everyone so be aware of that. So since this is specified as a healing jelly, I honestly only look to use it for cases where I need to keep a skin protectant on wounds that don't necessarily need antibiotic ointment but just a layer of something overtop to keep it protected if that makes sense.

In all honesty it's up to y'all about how you feel about a product and if using it has bitten you in the booty before and backfired or if it works. That's the reality of utilizing any product since it reacts with all of our biology differently.

Is Vaseline banned?
Is Vaseline safe? Vaseline is not toxic, and some people have actually eaten it. Vaseline is also unlikely to trigger allergies as well. Many people say it's banned in Europe, but petrolatum is only banned when the refining history comes into question.
