The Rookie 4x21 Parallels

Sorry this took so long for me to finish. I’ve been swamped with rewatch stuff all summer and the middle of this was really giving me frustrations. There’s another parallel from 1x12 that I just noticed during a rewatch. But, it would have changed the ending of this and I like it the way it is. I’ll add it to my “S4 parallels i missed” video.

1) Lucy The Snake Whisperer- Lucy doesn’t tangle with snakes, but she seems confident to get them in a safe location. 2x16 #Chenford

2) Wopez sleeping in- how far they’ve come from proposal to married with a kid on Mother’s Day. Notice the same pajama top, too. 2x16

3)Chris Fitting in- I don’t know that it’s him trying to fit in, but it’s hella funny him kinda trying to show Tim he likes the same things. 4x12

4) Dampen the Mood- Love Angela and Patrice’s relationship. 2x03

5) Marriage & Kids- Just important to illustrate that Tim wants to be married and have kids and so does Lucy, but Ashley does not. Disclaimer- There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to be married or have kids. Ashley just doesn’t share this with Tim. 4x05 (this episode storyline was all in intentional to circle back to Tim’s incompatibility with Ashley)

6) Realization- It’s debatable whether they were having a realization of feelings, but there was something that got real for them in both moments. 3x09

7) Fake out- Both of these were just hurtful but also funny. 3x09

    I love Wesley’s mum she’s so sweet (I was also expecting her to be a snobby mother in law so she took me by surprise)

    I find it funny that the snake sounds like a rattlesnake despite being a harmless Milk Snake or king snake that is no danger to humans. They are only a danger to small rodents, birds, eggs, and other snake species that they may feed on. But I know they have to keep the actors and actresses safe but come on. Could at least do some image editing.

    What the... They clearly had a coral snake, het the audio is all rattlesnake noises?

    (Probably not even an ACTUAL Coral-snake, Probably some sort of rat-snake or other 'look alike'')

    Not a coral snake. Not venomous. And this snake doesn't make sounds like a rattlesnake. Y'all messed up big time!

    When Angela says that Jack (her child) is the best thing in her life, what she MEANT to say was that her husband is the best thing in her life. Spouse ALWAYS comes first, no matter what else happens. That's why so many people get divorced so easily because they never learned that simple truth.
