Masahiro Ito basically debunked the whole idea of the lying figure representing a straight jacket, he said instead the monster design and movement is meant to mimick a person trapped inside a corpse bag.

Great video, but it's REALLY dark! The monster designer originally got the idea for the straight jacket enemies when he saw his friend walking down the street, in a hoodie, listening to music, walking in a "cool way" with his hands in his hoodies pocket. Not the in universe explanation of course, but an interesting bit of trivia.

You know...at any point, the guy could just..."interact" with the many females enemy, but choose to whack them with a stick instead to dead...instead. Is this another symbolism with how the guy kills his wife?

This is one of the reasons why I won't play Silent Hill. Everything has to be sexual 50%of it's monsters has a sexual aspect to it. This is DEPRAVITY,thiis is EVIL!!
